VACATION DAYS 4&5 SUNDAY & THE TRIP HOME

Sunday afternoon I went to church at the Ridgedale Ward, which was the Ward I attended for the last 10 years I lived in Salt Lake. It Was good to see old friends and i missed the friends that weren't there. I am usually in the Nursery, so going to adult classes was a different experience. It reminded me why I like the Nursery so much.
After church I went up to Uncle David & Aunt Dolores' house for dinner and games.
Monday was going home day. I have to admit, I was dreading the drive home, I usually do because it means vacation is over, and it is a LONG drive. This year Lori & I were bringing Danny home for a visit. It has been a long time since I have traveled with a small child for a long distance.
We started the day with the challenge of how to fit his wheelchair in with all of the other luggage we had.

Danny was a great traveler. There were toys and books that he could get to easily, and of course, trucks, trains, cows and horses to look at, and a Primary CD to sing along to.
We also learned that Cows don't say MOO, they say "Take my milk and cut me into steaks"
We stopped at a small park in Panguitch to play.

After the park it was time to set up the laptop for a movie- Cars was the 1st choice.
Our next stop was for lunch at a McDonald's in Page, AZ.
They had a play land that was perfect for Danny, so we gave him a long time to play and burn some energy.

After Page we made 1 more stop and played Finding Nemo on the Laptop.
Danny didn't nap at all, but was a happy traveler. Occasionally if he didn't feel like we were paying enough attention to him, we would hear a disgruntled "FINE" from the backseat.
The trip took about 16 hours and we were all exhausted, but it was worth it, to see Danny back with his Daddy.

DAY 3 EVENING WORCESTER WARD REUNION

The reason for the trip to Salt Lake this year, was to attend the annual Worcester Ward Reunion.
The reunion was hosted by Joe & Audri Ence,
at their home in Bountiful.
There were a lot of people there, some old friends, some people that were in Worcester Ward after I left. Some people that new me as a child and some people that I taught in Primary.
Its worth the trip to Salt Lake to see the people from Worcester Ward, and to remember what a wonderful family feeling we always had.

VACATION, DAY 2 EVENING

After Danny was picked up Uncle David & Aunt Dolores took Lori & I to Golden Corral for dinner. It was a wonderful meal.
Voyanne had asked that we come over to visit while I was here, so after dinner we went to their house. Adam & David, and David's boys were also there.
David's boys Rheece & Riley
Rheece is learning to play cello, he didn't have his cello at Grandpa's house, so he showed us how he played, and hummed the tune.
Riley is potty training. His Dad decided to let him go commando, until he had an accident in the bedroom and brought a handful of poop to his dad, and another to grandpa.
Riley doesn't like his grandpa, at all.
We had a nice visit.
THANKS VOYANNE FOR INVITING US!

VACATION DAY 2 MORNING

Friday Morning Danny's mother brought him up to Uncle David's house, to visit with his Gramma Lori (And the rest of us too)
He has grown and changed so much since we saw him in December.
He loved the remote control truck his great grandma sent up to him.
and stories read by his grandma.
And Chicken Nuggets and french fries from Wendys.
After lunch we got ready to go to a cemetery in SLC where there are a lot of deer and other wildlife.
Gramma Lori was taking too long to get ready so Danny headed down the stairs by himself. He told me "I can do it myself."
I didn't get any pictures of him going down, I was poised to grab his overall straps if he started to fall.
At the cemetery we were lucky enough to see a lot of deer, some up close.
We had to wait quite a while for him to be picked up after we were finished. It was after nap time so he enjoyed some snuggle time with Aunt Dolores.
It was a fun morning.
