I"M A WINNER!!

Wednesday afternoon I was sitting at my desk, answering calls as I always do, when my desk was surrounded by people. OK, it was really only 3, but I felt surrounded. I was told I had won a prize for quality, which surprised me, since my scores have been on the low side just lately.I got to draw from the big bowl of prizes.
This is what I won.
I was excited, not just because I never win anything, but our tower fan quit working and I was going to have to find money to replace it. I brought it home and assembled it, no easy task for someone who usually doesn't touch tools.
It is now in its appointed place and helping cool the great room down.

WORCESTER WARD REUNION 2012

This year's Worcester Ward Reunion was different in a lot of ways. We gathered earlier than in past years. We met in Provo instead of in Bountiful, and there were way less people than there were in past years. None of these were big problems, except not getting to see as many old friends. This year we gathered at Dave and Cranky Chuckies, just off of the BYU campus.
We had a baked potato bar, with a lot of delicious toppings. We had the front room and a long table to gather around. It made visiting easy.

JUNE 2 HAWAIIAN PLATE DINNER

Candace and Alvin Salima have been doing fund raisers for the last several months to try and earn money for Alvin's Kidney transplant.I've been waiting for an opportunity to be there on a weekend they were doing their plate dinners. I finally made it. It was good to see Candace again, its been a long time.
Candace with her niece and nephew.
Dinner was Kahlua Pork, teriyaki chicken, rice, green salad and guava cake.
It was all wonderful. I ate some for lunch and saved the rest for breakfast Sunday Morning.
When plate dinners start up again in the fall, if you live in Utah, I recommend ordering some plates.

MAY 31--JUNE 1 VACATION

I worked 10 hour days for 2 days after Memorial Day so that I could leave work early on Thursday May 31. I got on the road north by 10 AM. With the later than normal start I planned to stop in Beaver, Ut for the night. The Super 8 in Beaver was my 1st stop for the trip. it was very comfortable, even though the TV choices were abysmal.
I left for Salt Lake City a little after 9 AM the next day and went up to Uncle David and Aunt Dolores's house.
We visited for a while and then went to Sizzler for a late lunch.
After lunch we went to the Deer Cemetery to see the deer and other critters.
After a couple of hours of playing Phase 10 and talking yo Justin in California,we went to Dave and Voyanne's to see them and to see David and his boys Rheece and Riley. We were also able to meet his fiance Marie. They are getting married today (June 9).

WHAT DO YOU DO?

What do you do if everyone at work is supposed to wear Red White and Blue and you don't own one thing in those colors?
Make a scrunchie of course!
