2012 TOLLESON WARD TRUNK OR TREAT

On Oct 27 Brother and Sister Nix invited the Tolleson Ward to have our annual Trunk or Treat at their home.
There were some of the cars that were decorated, with elaborate decorations.

There were games. The Primary did a Witch's Hat Ring Toss. It was harder than it looked.

There were as always lots of cute costumes.

My flash didn't work, so I borrowed a couple of pictures from Judy Cain.

It was a fun evening!!

SUPER SATURDAY

On Oct 13 we gathered at the church for a day of crafting and sisterhood.
The day started with Bagels and home made strawberry jam, fruit and orange juice.
There were a lot of crafts to choose from. I decided to make wire ornaments. We started out tracing shapes on wood. We then hammered nails around the shape. Thanks to Misty for hammering my nails, I wasn't having much success on my own.

Lunch was soup and rolls.

It was a fun day.

BOOK SIGNING at LATTER DAY COTTAGE, MESA, AZ

On October 12, I left work and headed to Latter Day Cottage Bookstore in Mesa, AZ. They were having a book signing/concert.
I visited with the authors and chatted about everything from family to politics.

Michelle Baer sang selections from her new CD To God and Country, as well as music from her older CDs.

It was an enjoyable afternoon with friends. I do like being a book signing groupie.

TOM AND CARLA'S WEDDING

On Oct 9, 2012 Tom married Carla, his long time girl friend. The wedding was a small affair at a Stake Center in Mesa, and attended by a few family members.

WRITERS UNITE TO FIGHT CANCER WRITING CONTEST AWARDS CEREMONY

On September 27, I attended the Writers Unite to Fight Cancer Writing Contest Awards Ceremony at the Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe, AZ. It was a fun evening.

SEUSSICAL

This year our Stake preformed Seussical the Musical. On Sept 21 I picked up Hunter and Jordyn, so Leanne could get ready for the play. We went to Panda for dinner, before the play started.
Seussical was a fun play and very well done.

I wasn't able to take pictures at the play, so I borrowed some from facebook. Thanks to the picture takers.

NEW CAR

As we were coming down the mountain out of Flagstaff I got a phone call from the insurance adjuster telling me that they had decided to total my car. It wasn't a shock,but I had been holding out hope that they would repair it. As soon as I got home I fired up the computer and started looking at what the local Nissan Dealership had available. I narrowed it down to a new Altima or a Cube.
Wednesday, I finished up the insurance paperwork, found out what I had for a down payment and went car shopping. After test driving an Altima and a Cube, I chose this car.

CAMERON TRADING POST

Tuesday Morning we left for home early. One of the rest stops we made was at the Cameron Trading Post. It had a wide range of Native American items for sale.

In all the times that I've stopped in Cameron, AZ, I have never stopped at the trading post, I think I will make it a regular stop in the future,
