FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY

Our party every year starts with a few talents. We had a dance by Lyndi, a song by Shari and Amanda and a song by the Bottomleys.

Santa always pays a visit and reads the Christmas Story from Luke 2, and then visits with the children.

The kids always love having a visit from Santa.

CHRISTMAS DINNER

The Sunday before Christmas we met at Uncle Max and Aunt Karen's as a family for a big dinner.

With all of the traditional foods, ham, cheesy potatoes, meatballs, pink salad, rolls and a huge amount of other things.

And, of course, there was lots of sugar to snack on too.

CHRISTMAS PROJECTS

I  started my Christmas project with a trip to Home Depot, to have wood cut. Then came the painting (I don't like painting much, so I dragged my feet a little), and gluing.

I think they turned out pretty well.

My 2nd project was Amigurumi snowmen. I made them for my Nursery kids. They worked up pretty quickly.

TREVOR'S BAPTISM

On December 21, 2013 I had the privilege of attending the baptism of my cousin Randy's youngest son Trevor who turned 8 in November.

It was a nice morning with family, and seeing Trevor baptized and confirmed.

THANKSGIVING 2013

We gathered on Thanksgiving afternoon at Uncle Max & Aunt Karen's for dinner and family time. We had lots of good food.

And more yummy pies than we could eat in one afternoon.

And of course lots of visiting and fun between bites.

And of course, the ritual checking of the Black Friday ads.

FINALLY FINISHED

After 3 years of working on it, I finally assembled and delivered Kari  & Jake's wedding gift on Thanksgiving.

FAMILY GAME NIGHT AND COOK OUT Nov 9, 2013

On Nov 9 we went to Aunt Karen's for games and a cook out. The afternoon started out with Brigham changing light bulbs so we could see to play.

We played Phase 10 for a while, but there were too many people, so I spent a few hands coaching some of the younger kids & eating my dinner. Besides playing and eating, there was chatting and visiting as always.
