A LOVE STORY

Mom and Dad were married on March 28, 1957 in Logan Utah. That is 54 years ago today.
On their wedding day, Dad hid the car so that it wouldn't be decorated. Unfortunately he left the marriage license in the car and ended up leading his brother & future Brothers in law to it. He always blamed the decorations for the car breaking down in Wyoming.
They started their marriage in East Lansing, MI
and later moved to Northborough, MA, where they raised their family.
Mom and Dad did a lot of things together.
They were the founding members of their local T.O.P.S. (take off pounds sensibly) club, and attended many conventions.
They attended family reunions for Mom's family.
They enjoyed time with friends.

They loved their children
and grandchildren
and especially each other.
They're together this year for their anniversary for the 1st time in 6 years.
Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!!

ANDREA'S BRIDAL SHOWER

Saturday we went to Andrea's Bridal Shower. She will be marrying Erik and joining the family in April.
We broke up into 4 teams and designed wedding dresses out of Toilet Paper.
Cindy agreed To be our model. Leanne & Brianna wrapped her in Toilet Paper.
And draped it for the skirt. We used much masking tape and some safety pins to hold the dress together.
These were our 4 models.

Andrea's Niece (I don't remember her name)

After the game, and treats Andrea opened her gifts.
Her sister made the traditional tissue paper bouquet.

STEPHANIE'S TURNING 60 BIRTHDAY BASH

Saturday Night I attended Stephanie's 60th Birthday Party.
I have known Stephanie for most of the 8 years I have lived in Arizona. Even though we don't see each other often, her friendship is something I treasure.
Jim and Stephanie
I met some new friends. Theresa ( I found out she is Hunter's 4th grade teacher) & Krista, both are authors, and very fun ladies.
And reconnected with Betsy, whom I met at a New Year's Eve Party at Shari's house several years ago.
It was a fun night.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHANIE!!!

FEBRUARY/EARLY MARCH 2011 FAMILY BIRTHDAY PARTY

Sunday we went back to Mesa after church to celebrate February and early March Birthdays, along with Jordyn's (Dec) since she hasn't been able to attend since then. 12 birthdays in all. Jayden is 6, but wasn't able to attend because he was sick.
Jordyn is 7.
She had to leave early, before the cake got there, so Aunt Karen lit 7 candles in Macaroons.
The table looked a little like Christmas.
McKayla is 2
Kal'el is also 2
Kaela is 10
Amanda is 15
Kari is 21
Cara is 24
Shari is 44
Lori is 49

This is what our fake cake looked like after a particularly busy birthday party.
We had cupcakes and ice cream.

GIRLS ONLY PARTY

On Saturday Leanne, Jordyn & I went to Mesa for Kari's Bridal Shower. It was Jordyn's first Shower and she was really excited to go to the Girls Only Party.
She wasn't completely sure what a shower was, so on the way over Leanne explained that there wouldn't be any water or bathtub involved.
We started off playing some games. One was trying to guess the ages Kari was in pictures of her.
And of course there was plenty of talking and food.
And there were prizes for the games.
And gifts.
Kari got a lot of nice things, that will help her and Jake set up housekeeping.
CONGRATULATIONS KARI!!
