I know its not nearly as cold here as it is in a lot of other places, and people who live in those areas can point and laugh when it is 118 in July and you are cooler.
I left the house to go to work at about 5:45 AM and found ice on the windshield, this is lighter than it was, I ran the wipers for a couple of minutes, before I took the picture, and yes that is ice, not dirt. Fortunately I didn't have to break out the credit card to scrape it. heat worked just fine.
As I was driving to work I looked down at the thermostat and saw this:
I will be glad when its a few degrees warmer in the Morning, but in July I will look back at these cold days and wonder why I was in such a hurry to see them go.

My temperature gauge read 31 degrees when I drove to the school at 7:15 am this morning. I had to scrape ice off the windshield as well. I'm just glad we don't have to turn on the air conditioner!
I don't care where you live--when the temps get into the 30's, you're justified in saying "COLD!"
But you can always crank up the heat and add a few layers... it's the heat that is harder to escape in my opinion...
